At the inauguration of the Eklavya Adarsh Residential School National Sports Festival 2025 in Rajnandgaon, Zila Panchayat Chairperson Kiran Vaishnav highlighted the vital importance of discipline and adherence to rules in sports. Addressing over 500 athletes from six districts, she encouraged them to pursue their goals with determination and resilience, underscoring the significance of education and a healthy lifestyle alongside sports. The two-day festival features a wide range of individual and team events across multiple venues, fostering sportsmanship and regional athletic talent.
During the ordinary meeting of the Zila Panchayat held at the district headquarters, Chairperson Kiran Ravindra Vaishnav issued firm directives to departmental officials for the prompt repair and tendering of several long-pending and dilapidated roads across the district. The meeting also saw detailed discussions on stalled infrastructure projects, deteriorating school buildings, and the urgent need for sanitation improvements in rural schools.
As part of the “Moor Gaon, Moor Pani” campaign, a cluster-level training camp was successfully conducted in Gendatola village under Chhuriya block, Rajnandgaon district. The session, graced by Zila Panchayat President Smt. Kiran Vaishnav, emphasized rainwater harvesting and conservation methods for rural communities. Local leaders, women’s groups, and villagers participated actively in the initiative, which also included a tree plantation under the “One Tree in Mother's Name” campaign.
