On the occasion of PM Kisan Diwas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi disbursed the 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, transferring ₹22.61 crore to 1,05,252 farmers in Rajnandgaon district through an Aadhaar-based system. A major event was held at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Surgi, where farmers were introduced to government welfare schemes, innovative agri-tech, crop insurance, and organic produce. Local representatives, officials, and hundreds of farmers participated in the extensive exhibition and demonstrations, including nano fertilizer drone spraying and zero-balance Jan Dhan account openings.

A financial inclusion and saturation outreach camp was organized in Sankara village by the Lead District Bank Office and Bank of Baroda, Somni branch. Officials from the bank’s head office in Vadodara and regional offices in Raipur and Durg participated, highlighting the importance of KYC compliance in Jan Dhan accounts and promoting various social security schemes such as PMJJBY, PMSBY, and Atal Pension Yojana.

Addressing BJP workers at a workshop commemorating the 300th birth anniversary of Ahilyabai Holkar, Sanjay Srivastava, Chairman of the Civil Supplies Corporation, emphasized her legacy as a cultural icon and pioneer of good governance and women's empowerment. He also criticized Congress for allegedly sidelining the contributions of such great personalities from Indian history.
