As paddy procurement enters its final phase, the Rajnandgaon district administration has intensified vigilance against illegal transport and sale of paddy, seizing 845 quintals of grain worth nearly ₹1.47 crore and registering cases against 10 accused.

In a major crackdown on illegal paddy movement, the Rajnandgaon district administration seized 615 bags of paddy being transported unlawfully from Maharashtra into Chhattisgarh and initiated proceedings to confiscate the vehicles.

He praised the effective action taken against illegal paddy transport and instructed officers to maintain the same momentum. The Collector reviewed ongoing urban development works, rural construction quality, progress under MGNREGA, PM Awas Yojana, Ayushman Card services, and initiatives to ensure economic self-reliance of vulnerable communities.

During the weekly time-limit meeting, Rajnandgaon Collector Jitendra Yadav instructed officials to improve performance on the Atal Monitoring Portal, tighten surveillance on illegal paddy procurement, empower women SHGs through PMFME, and accelerate the Special Summary Revision.
