Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh distributed financial assistance cheques to bereaved families, patients, students and social organisations in Rajnandgaon, offering timely relief during his constituency visit.

Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, nearly 2.55 lakh women in Rajnandgaon receive about ₹24 crore every month through DBT, with total disbursements touching ₹507 crore across 21 instalments since March 2024.

In a compassionate initiative by the Chhattisgarh Labour Welfare Board, a financial aid of ₹3 lakh was granted to Prakash Tandon, a worker suffering from silicosis. The aid was delivered personally by Board Chairman Yogeshdutt Mishra at a village-level event in Bithiya, emphasizing the board's commitment to the health and welfare of laborers across the state. The move is part of the board's broader effort to reach vulnerable workers through its 14 welfare schemes.

In a compassionate gesture, the Red Cross Society in Rajnandgaon has provided ₹50,000 in financial aid to a cancer patient, Mrs. Lalita Yadav, who comes from a financially distressed family. The funds will support her ongoing treatment at a Raipur hospital.
