The Rajnandgaon Collector Court ordered the release of six vehicles and 2,170 bags of paddy seized in an illegal transport case after the accused deposited the prescribed penalty and mandi charges in the government treasury.

As paddy procurement enters its final phase, the Rajnandgaon district administration has intensified vigilance against illegal transport and sale of paddy, seizing 845 quintals of grain worth nearly ₹1.47 crore and registering cases against 10 accused.

Acting on complaints of fertilizer black marketing, the district administration conducted raids at two retail shops in Chhuriya and Rajnandgaon blocks, recovering large quantities of urea and other fertilizers being sold illegally at inflated prices. FIRs have been filed under the Essential Commodities Act.
