The Police Lines premises turned into a hub of greenery, music, and tradition as the Sawan Sundari Mahotsav was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The festival, marked by cultural performances, poetry recitations, and thematic competitions, highlighted the importance of nature conservation and the preservation of cultural heritage.

During his visit to Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh planted a bael tree under the “One Tree in Mother’s Name” campaign at Lalbagh Garden. He urged citizens to contribute towards making the city a national model of cleanliness in the coming year.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Dongargarh, held a successful tree plantation program under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam – Mission LiFE' initiative. Local officials, teachers, and students planted saplings and pledged to protect the environment, emphasizing the importance of trees in combating pollution and promoting sustainability.

Rajnandgaon, June 5, 2025: Marking World Environment Day, the Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation launched a massive tree plantation campaign at Anand Vatika with a pledge to plant nearly 7,000 saplings across the city. Mayor Madhusudan Yadav inaugurated the program by planting a Kadamba sapling under the emotionally resonant campaign “One Tree in Mother’s Name.”

He called upon society to recognize biodiversity conservation as a collective moral responsibility amid growing environmental threats.
