The Election Commission has extended the deadline for submitting manual forms under the Special Summary Revision (SAR) from 11 December to 18 December, offering relief to many residents. BJP youth worker Gitesh Gupta has welcomed the move, calling it essential for ensuring an accurate and complete voter list.

The Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls 2026 is underway in Rajnandgaon, with the Mayor directing officials to speed up form collection and ensure no eligible voter is excluded. Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma conducted a ward-wise review and instructed staff to intensify door-to-door efforts, prepare lists of deceased and migrated voters, and complete the process within the deadline.

In Aalikhunta village, booth number 162 achieved 100% completion of the SIR voter verification process, following which State Congress General Secretary Shahid Bhai felicitated BLO Hemlata Sahu for her dedicated and transparent work.
