On the 25th Foundation Day of Chhattisgarh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the state’s new Legislative Assembly complex in Nava Raipur, marking a defining moment in the Silver Jubilee celebrations. Blending sustainable architecture with rich cultural heritage, the Rs 324 crore eco-friendly complex honors the legacy of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and symbolizes the state’s journey from formation to a modern, self-reliant hub of governance and development. The event also featured major development announcements, a heartfelt tribute to tribal freedom fighters, and a call to preserve the environment under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign.

Principal Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development Smt. Niharika Barik Singh reviewed sanitation and water conservation initiatives in Rajnandgaon, praising the district’s efforts under Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural). She also planted a sapling under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign during her inspection visit.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) North Mandal organised a tree plantation drive at Atal Complex, Vardhman Nagar, under the campaign “A Tree in Mother’s Name” as part of Seva Pakhwada. Senior leaders, public representatives, and citizens participated enthusiastically, pledging commitment to environmental protection and community service in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for service-driven initiatives.

During his visit to Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh planted a bael tree under the “One Tree in Mother’s Name” campaign at Lalbagh Garden. He urged citizens to contribute towards making the city a national model of cleanliness in the coming year.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Dongargarh, held a successful tree plantation program under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam – Mission LiFE' initiative. Local officials, teachers, and students planted saplings and pledged to protect the environment, emphasizing the importance of trees in combating pollution and promoting sustainability.
