District Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure conducted an unannounced inspection of key government facilities in Ghumka, including the tehsil office, Swami Atmanand English Medium School, Nagar Panchayat, and the Community Health Center. He reviewed ongoing work, issued directives for furniture installation in new buildings, and assessed the progress of welfare schemes like Matri Vandana Yojana and institutional deliveries.

Collector Chairs Red Cross Executive Meeting, Proposes New Blood Bank and Membership Drive

Under the leadership of Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, the executive committee meeting of the Indian Red Cross Society, Rajnandgaon branch, emphasized the need for a new blood bank, expanded infrastructure, and increased community involvement. Discussions also highlighted ongoing humanitarian aid and health initiatives carried out by the Society.

Encroachment Cleared Gudakhu Line to Ease Traffic Congestion

To streamline traffic and improve pedestrian movement in Rajnandgaon’s commercial areas, the district administration removed illegal encroachments from Gudakhu Line and Azad Chowk following prior notices and meetings with traders. Goods placed outside shops were seized, and extended sheds were dismantled as part of the ongoing anti-encroachment campaign.

Revenue Camp Organized in Kumarda: Swift Redressal of Public Grievances Ensured

A revenue camp was organized at the Kumarda tehsil office to provide immediate redressal of public issues related to land records and certificates. Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure conducted a surprise inspection of the camp, interacting with citizens and instructing revenue officials to dispose of applications promptly and sensitively. A total of 225 applications were received, of which 115 were resolved on the spot. Free distribution of farmer booklets also took place during the camp.

In a high-level meeting of the District Task Force, Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure announced the launch of the Stop Diarrhea Campaign 2025 from June 16 to July 31. He urged citizens to stay vigilant against seasonal diseases like diarrhea, dengue, malaria, and filariasis during the monsoon and called for increased public awareness, sanitation drives, and community participation.
