Christopher Paul, President of the Chhattisgarh Parents Association, has alleged that the closure of Karma School in Rajnandgaon has left numerous underprivileged children, admitted under the Right to Education (RTE) Act, without access to schooling. Despite repeated appeals and written complaints by parents, district authorities have failed to reassign the affected students to other nearby private schools. Paul warned that if immediate action is not taken, the association will file a petition in court.

The Chhattisgarh Parents’ Association has expressed strong dissatisfaction over the delay in implementing subject-specific teacher placement norms in government secondary schools, a decision earlier announced by the Chief Minister. The association warned that continued inaction could harm the educational prospects of students from underprivileged backgrounds and hinted at launching a protest if reforms are not expedited.
