The NDA has reached a historic peak in subnational political power, now commanding 56% of all MLAs across India with a total strength of 2,315 legislators. Powered by its sweeping Bihar victory and the BJP’s record 1,654 MLAs, the alliance now dominates 20 states and Union Territories, marking its strongest legislative footprint to date.

Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor criticized Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin’s visit to Bihar, questioning his silence on past incidents involving Bihari children in Tamil Nadu. Kishor also targeted Congress and Tejashwi Yadav for backing Stalin, accusing them of selective activism ahead of Bihar elections.

Jan Suraj Party founder Prashant Kishor stirred political controversy at the ‘Bihar Badlaav Conference’ in Patna with sharp remarks against Yogi Adityanath and the RSS. Addressing the Muslim community, Kishor claimed that in the next decade Prime Minister Modi would appear “tolerable,” while Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath would be seen as “dangerous.” Accusing the RSS of pushing an “extreme right” agenda, he urged Muslims to join the Jan Suraj movement for real political change. While critics slammed him for stoking polarization, supporters hailed his speech as a bold and honest message.

A fiery exchange between Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav rocked the Assembly, as debates over the legacy of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi turned personal and political. While Nitish dismissed the RJD era as ineffective, Tejashwi defended his parents’ record and accused the NDA of manipulating voter lists ahead of elections—escalating tensions in the run-up to Bihar’s 2025 polls.
