As part of the Seva Pakhwada being observed from September 17 to October 2 on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, the Social Welfare Department of Rajnandgaon has flagged off a “Disability Service Rath.” The Rath will visit 110 villages in Chhuriya block, spreading awareness about welfare schemes for Divyangjans and collecting data on 21 categories of disabilities. In addition, service camps will be organized at Janpad Panchayats between September 20 and 28 to provide services such as Aadhaar enrollment and correction, Ayushman card generation, transport passes, disability pension applications, marriage incentives, and assistive device assessments. Authorities have urged maximum participation from Divyangjans to avail these benefits.

Chairing the weekly time-limit meeting at the Collectorate, Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure emphasized that all departments must deliver quality work aligned with the benchmarks set under the Atal Monitoring Portal. He instructed officials to expedite the resolution of disputed land and partition cases, accelerate issuance of income, caste, and residence certificates through camps, and ensure timely implementation of key welfare schemes including PM Awas Yojana, PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, Ayushman Card distribution, and PM Vishwakarma Yojana. The Collector also reviewed preparations for the inauguration of a new CT Scan machine, Bhoomi Poojan of a Trauma Centre, and the rollout of online smart classrooms and coaching classes.

During a district-level review of Su-Shasan Tihar 2025 in Rajnandgaon, Secretary Avinash Champawat called for strategic action to solve public issues and ensure effective delivery of government schemes like Ayushman Card, PMAY, and Jal Jeevan Mission, with over 1.27 lakh applications received and 84,000 resolved so far.
