To address the increasing population of stray dogs and related safety concerns, the Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation has sterilised 800 stray dogs in the last five months and issued fresh orders for an additional 1,000 sterilisations under its intensified animal birth control programme.

With 1,282 multi-storey houses fully constructed in areas like Lakhouli, Pendri, Mohara, and Rewadeeh, and another 648 units under various stages of construction, the Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation is set to conduct a lottery on 15 May 2025 to allocate these homes.

Rajnandgaon is set to witness a historic transformation in athletics infrastructure as the government approves the construction of a state-of-the-art synthetic track, thanks to the continued efforts of Assembly Speaker and local MLA Dr. Raman Singh.
