Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh on Republic Day inaugurated a journalists’ residential complex built over 10 acres in Rajnandgaon, calling it a shining example of unity and collective effort within the media fraternity. The project, valued at ₹3.79 crore, will provide homes to 141 journalists, while additional water infrastructure works worth ₹49 lakh were also launched.

Union Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited the Maa Bamleshwari Temple in Dongargarh and offered prayers for the peace, prosperity, and happiness of citizens across the country and Chhattisgarh. Several public representatives and senior officials accompanied him during the religious visit.

Union Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan called upon citizens to follow the spiritual path shown by Sant Shiromani Acharya Shri 108 Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj while attending the Second Samadhi Memorial Mahotsav at Vidyasagaroday Samadhi Sthal, Chandragiri Tirthkshetra, Dongargarh. During the programme, 210 commemorative postal covers and a Government of India silver coin were released, and the foundation stone of Acharya Vidyasagar Museum was laid.

Shri Ramkrishna Tiwari, a respected resident of Mahesh Nagar and a prominent citizen of Rajnandgaon, passed away at the age of 89 on Monday evening. His funeral procession witnessed a large turnout of family members, friends, and community leaders, reflecting his enduring social legacy.
