Rajnandgaon Police have recovered more than ₹85 lakh for a cyber fraud victim who was cheated of ₹1.14 crore through a fake online investment platform. Investigators froze 397 bank accounts during the technical probe, marking the district’s largest recovery in a cyber fraud case.
Seven accused were arrested in Rajnandgaon for spreading panic by brandishing firearms in Shankarpur, with police seizing two pistols, two country-made weapons and live cartridges during a joint operation.
