The District Cooperative Central Bank, Rajnandgaon, has increased the number of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies from 222 to 358 under the 2025 reorganization plan, expanding coverage across four districts and offering farmers easier access to credit, inputs, and procurement facilities.

In a major relief for Chhattisgarh’s farmers, the state cabinet led by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has approved the start of paddy procurement from November 15, 2025. The decision ensures timely purchase of this year’s bumper crop and introduces digital mandi systems for transparent transactions. With enhanced MSP and improved testing facilities, the move aims to stabilize farmer incomes amid rising input costs and unpredictable weather.

The PM Pranam Kisan Seminar at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Surgi, guided Rajnandgaon farmers toward organic and natural farming. Experts advised on reducing chemical fertilizer use, maintaining soil health, and accessing government subsidies, promoting sustainable agriculture practices.
